ToDoIn Privacy Policy

ToDoIn ("we," "us," or "our") helps you discover restaurants, bars, outdoor spots, music, sports, and arts venues, and plan itineraries wherever you are. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account information: the name and home city you provide when you create a profile.
• Location data: with your permission, your device's GPS location, used to show nearby places, calculate distances, and detect your current city. You can decline location access and instead manually search a city or address.
• Profile photo: if you choose to upload one, a photo from your device's photo library.
• Taste preferences: answers to our onboarding quiz (vibe, who you're usually with, food preferences, budget, and things you'd rather avoid), used to personalize recommendations.
• Saved places and itineraries: venues you save or add to a trip itinerary within the app.

How We Use Your Information

• To show you relevant places to eat, drink, and explore near a location you choose.
• To personalize recommendations based on your stated preferences and budget.
• To let you save places and build itineraries for trips.
• To display your profile and preferences back to you within the app.

Third-Party Services We Use

ToDoIn relies on the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — securely stores your account, saved places, and itinerary data.
• Google Places API — provides venue information, ratings, and location data shown in the app.
• Apple location services — used on your device to determine your location and convert addresses to map coordinates, with your permission.

These providers may process data on our behalf but do not independently use your personal information for their own purposes beyond providing their service to us.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with the third-party service providers listed above, solely as needed to operate ToDoIn.

Data Security

Your data is stored with Supabase and transmitted using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS). While no system can guarantee absolute security, we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your Choices

• You can decline location or photo library permissions at any time; some features may be limited as a result.
• You can sign out from the Profile tab, which deletes your locally stored profile, saved places, and itinerary data.
• You can retake the preferences quiz at any time to update your saved answers.

Children's Privacy

ToDoIn is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
